“Don’t do anything that someone else can do. Don’t undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.”- A quote by Edwin Land and later become the mission statement for The Impossible Project. Impossible B.V, a company that is founded on 8 October 2008 by Austrian entrepreneur Florian Kaps, aims to reinvent and produce a new integral instant film that works in vintage Polaroids cameras, by 2010. The company acquired the complete film production equipment in Enschede (NL) from Polaroid, signed a 10-year lease agreement on the factory building; and engaged the most experienced team of Integral Film experts worldwide. The team consists of 12 highly passionate, experience and skilled men.
The Impossible Project has managed to produce their first complete and stable instant picture, and are confident they can have their first black-and-white film on the market by early 2010. After that, Impossible will start selling a new Instant camera in the end of 2010. More detail on the project and update can be found here.
