Volkswagen unveils E-Bugster concept car at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. Producing zero emissions and a range of 100 miles (160 km) and 114-horsepower, the vehicle uses an 85-kilowatt electric motor powered by lithium-ion battery pack. The battery is rechargeable via a plug located at the front below the logo, charging to 80% capacity in 30 minutes. Although the car will not go into production, the ‘blue-e-motion’ electric propulsion system will be utilized in future electric vehicles.

Collaboratively designed by two Scuola Politecnica di Design students: Victor Filipchenko and Nelson Simoes for their final thesis project, this is the Lamborghini Cnossus concept car, which is named after an ancient Greek city of Cnossus (Knossus) on the island of Crete.
